RNG blackjack is the digital version of the card game: beat the dealer's hand without going over 21. Played well, it has one of the lowest house edges in the casino.
Example shown: Multihand Blackjack by BGaming · Studio RTP: 99.23%
Type: instant game · Provably fair: usually, check the game · Bonus wagering: often excluded or reduced
How Blackjack Works
You and the dealer receive two cards; the dealer shows one. You hit, stand, double or split. The dealer then draws to a fixed rule. A two-card 21 is a blackjack and pays a bonus.
The table rules decide the house edge more than anything else, so read them before you sit down.
The Maths
| Rule | Better for you | Effect on house edge (approx.) |
|---|---|---|
| Blackjack payout | 3:2 | 6:5 adds about 1.4% |
| Dealer on soft 17 | Stands | Hitting adds about 0.2% |
| Number of decks | Fewer | Each extra deck adds a little |
| Double after split | Allowed | Not allowed adds about 0.1% |
With good rules and basic strategy the edge is around 0.5 percent. Side bets such as Perfect Pairs and 21+3 carry much higher edges.
Verifying a Round
If the game is provably fair, open its fairness panel before you play and note the hashed server seed. After you rotate seeds, the casino reveals the original seed; hash it, check that it matches, and recompute your results. Our provably fair guide walks through each step. If a game claims to be provably fair but has no working verification panel, treat the claim as marketing.
Before You Play
- Use a basic strategy chart for the exact rules on the table.
- Avoid 6:5 tables.
- Skip insurance; it is a side bet with a high edge.
Every round has a negative expected return. Fast games make it easy to place hundreds of bets in a session, so set a loss limit before you start.
