Limbo asks one question: will the next multiplier beat your target? Set a target such as 2x, and if the random result is at or above it, you win your stake times the target.
Example shown: Limbo Rider by Turbo Games · Studio RTP: 95%
Type: instant game · Provably fair: usually, check the game · Bonus wagering: often excluded or reduced
How Limbo Works
Each round generates a single multiplier. Most results are small, a few are huge. You set the target before the round, and only that number matters.
The Maths
| Target | Win chance (1% edge) | Wins in 100 rounds (average) |
|---|---|---|
| 1.5x | 66% | 66 |
| 2x | 49.5% | 49.5 |
| 10x | 9.9% | 9.9 |
| 100x | 0.99% | about 1 |
Win chance equals 99 divided by the target. Like dice, the edge stays the same at every target; a higher target simply spreads the same expected loss over rarer, bigger wins.
Verifying a Round
If the game is provably fair, open its fairness panel before you play and note the hashed server seed. After you rotate seeds, the casino reveals the original seed; hash it, check that it matches, and recompute your results. Our provably fair guide walks through each step. If a game claims to be provably fair but has no working verification panel, treat the claim as marketing.
Before You Play
- High targets bring long losing runs.
- Rounds are instant, so the pace is very fast.
- Treat any claimed strategy with suspicion: the maths does not move.
Every round has a negative expected return. Fast games make it easy to place hundreds of bets in a session, so set a loss limit before you start.

Is limbo the same as crash?
Close. Both use a random multiplier. In limbo you fix the target before the round; in crash you choose when to cash out as it climbs.
What is the best limbo target?
None. The expected return is the same at every target.
