Mines hides a number of mines in a 5 by 5 grid. Each safe tile you reveal raises your multiplier. Hit a mine and the stake is lost. You can cash out after any safe tile.
Example shown: Mines by Turbo Games · Studio RTP: 95%
Type: instant game · Provably fair: usually, check the game · Bonus wagering: often excluded or reduced
How Mines Works
Before the round you choose how many mines to hide, from 1 to 24. More mines means each safe tile is worth more, and each click is riskier.
The Maths
| Mines in grid | Chance first tile is safe | First-tile multiplier (1% edge) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 96% | about 1.03x |
| 3 | 88% | about 1.13x |
| 10 | 60% | about 1.65x |
| 24 | 4% | about 24.75x |
Each multiplier is the inverse of the chance of surviving so far, less the edge. The expected loss is the same whether you cash out early or late.
Verifying a Round
If the game is provably fair, open its fairness panel before you play and note the hashed server seed. After you rotate seeds, the casino reveals the original seed; hash it, check that it matches, and recompute your results. Our provably fair guide walks through each step. If a game claims to be provably fair but has no working verification panel, treat the claim as marketing.
Before You Play
- Decide your cash-out point before you start clicking.
- Patterns from previous rounds tell you nothing about the next grid.
- High mine counts produce long losing runs.
Every round has a negative expected return. Fast games make it easy to place hundreds of bets in a session, so set a loss limit before you start.

Is there a pattern to Mines?
No. Mine positions are random each round. Verify them through the provably fair panel if the game offers one.
When should I cash out?
Any time; it does not change the expected return. A fixed plan simply stops a session running away.
